Hickey Clarke & Langan was established in 1972 initially as a life and general insurance brokerage. In 1978 we disposed of our life business. Since then we have operated solely as a general Insurance brokerage for retail and wholesale.
In the 1980's and early 1990's we established various facilities at Lloyd's Insurance to place liability, travel, personal accident and household insurance. Initially the wholesale business was confined to travel, personal accident and holiday home insurance. Over the years it has developed to include a full suite of household products including owner occupied, let, mobile homes, bed and breakfast and country mansions in addition to holiday homes. Our facility is now recognised as the longest continuous Lloyd's household binding authority in the Irish market. We are proud of our achievements in this regard.
Having enjoyed significant growth in our wholesale business we now have a dedicated team dealing with brokers in recognition of the fact that brokers are our most important customers. Our aim is to satisfy the requirements of our growing broker base and provide a professional service that you can rely on to be available, when needed, to deal promptly and efficiently with your requirements. As brokers ourselves we understand the demands that you face on a daily basis from your clients and this experience helps us to deliver the service you require.
